About Chef Pavel – Bulgarian-born Chef Pavel has worked in a number of leading restaurants in Johannesburg and Cape Town over the past 26 years, including Vilamoura, Pigalle, NV-80, and at Utopia Cape Town, where he was co- owner and Executive Chef. He opened Zest Restaurant in the newkings boutique hotel in June 2021, as owner and operator. Chef Pavel holds values of honesty and trust, a person
with soul and no ego. The menu is unique – most items are available in small or large plates with Mediterranean and Asian influences offering a variety of flavours,
as well as light and full meals.
