Skål Cape Town Past Presidents Lunch 2025: Honouring Legacy and Friendship

The Skål International Cape Town Annual Past Presidents Lunch once again delivered a beautiful celebration of leadership, friendship, and the enduring values that define Skål. Hosted at the elegant Brooklands House, the event brought together former presidents from Skål Cape Town, Skål Winelands, and Skål Cape West Coast for an afternoon that honoured both legacy and meaningful connection.

The gathering reflected the purpose of this long-standing tradition: creating a space where past leaders can reconnect, celebrate their contributions, and acknowledge the growth their guidance has brought to the organisation. Conversations flowed easily as members reflected on milestones achieved over the years and the continued progress of the club.

Skål Cape Town member Philip Engelen and his wife, Sandra, graciously opened their historic Brooklands House to host the luncheon, setting the tone for a warm and elegant afternoon. The event was further uplifted by the generosity of sponsors The Diamond Works and Motion Car Rental & Shuttle Services, whose support helped make the day memorable.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was the Skål toast, led by Membre d’Honneur Anne Lamb. Her words captured the unity, camaraderie, and global spirit that bind Skålleagues around the world — a reminder of the organisation’s shared mission of “Doing Business Among Friends.”

As the afternoon came to a close, it was clear that the legacy of Skål is built not only on formal leadership but on the relationships, mentorship, and commitment sustained long after a term ends. The Annual Past Presidents Lunch remains a cherished moment on the calendar — honouring those who paved the way and celebrating the vibrant fellowship that continues to define Skål today.

Skål!
