Singapore Airlines’ new daily flights between Cape Town and Singapore via Johannesburg kicked off today (March 26) with a launch event in Cape Town. The airline previously flew four times a week from Cape Town but increased the service due to growing demand.
“Cape Town will be served with a daily flight via Johannesburg, up from the current four flights per week, with effect from March 26. The additional flights will complement SIA’s current daily service to Johannesburg and operate as SQ478 (Singapore-Johannesburg-Cape Town) and SQ479 (Cape Town-Johannesburg-Singapore),” said the carrier.
A 253-seat Airbus A350-90 is used on the route, with 42 seats in business class, 24 in premium economy and 187 in economy class.
