NETWORKING EVENT POSTPONED:
Breakwater Lodge, Cape Town, South Africa
Dear fellow Skål International Cape Town member,
Although we would not have imagined postponing a networking lunch that both supports a member and encourages the ongoing recovery efforts, we are forced to announce the lunch postponement due to the fact that the Adjusted Risk Strategy for South Africa was amended to Level 4 with effect from Monday 28 June 2021 for a period of 14 days.
This period interrupts the planning of our intended lunch date at Breakwater Lodge (13 July 2021) and the current regulations forced the closure of restaurants for sit down service.
The networking lunch event has been postponed to 12 October 2021. Further updates to follow.
The hospitality industry was once again impacted hardest by the governments efforts to balance lives and livelihoods in their ongoing battle against the spread of Coronavirus.
The latest Level 4 regulations prohibit restaurants from sit down service and only allows for take-away and collection.
We urge our members, their friends and their colleagues who can spare a few Rands, to commit to a few take-away meals over the next 14 days in an effort to support our fellow members during this very trying time.
If you can, phone in and collect or use the venues own delivery services to avoid any additional charges by international delivery corporations.
We were delighted to announce Deetlefs Wine Estate as the event sponsor of the Skål toast and welcome drinks.
SUPPORT THEM AND ORDER FOR DELIVERY ONCE THE PROHIBITION HAS BEEN LIFTED:
Skål International Cape Town members enjoy a members benefit of 20% off cellar door prices together with free delivery to any address in South Africa.
